Angus Sellwood
Group Operations Director
Angus started his career as a telecommunications engineer and served as an apprentice for one of the first privately owned telecoms providers, after the privatisation of the industry. This industry evolved into voice and data networks and then came the introduction of fibre optic cables, which in the 80's was a huge learning curve.
Angus left in 1998 to join the RAC as a contractor, before joining an electrical company in Gloucester who wanted to branch out into data-communications. Having worked through the ranks to Installation Director he then left to join Mitchells who were one of the most established HVAC and Electrical Companies in Gloucestershire.
Having joined as the Commercial Manager he was then made the Operations Director and left to join smartDCS as Group Operations Director in October 2024.
Angus is a rounded individual who works closely with his colleagues and clients to achieve the very best out of their relationships. More than capable of working at any level within the business, he enjoys a strong moral compass and a high degree of emotional maturity. Angus has always worked to coach and develop people to achieve their maximum potential, using empathy and support, rather than instruction and control. Having worked closely with other Directors within his various roles he has been instrumental in business growth and strategic planning.
